Varsity vs. O'Dea

Loss 57-66

The Bellevue Wolverines suffered a tough defeat against the O’Dea Fighting Irish in the semifinal round of districts, losing 57-66 in a hard-fought game. The Wolverines were trailing by 20 points at halftime as their offense was mostly stagnant while the defense began to fall apart. A heroic 4th quarter performance by sophomore Bryce Smith both offensively and defensively as well as a few 3’s by senior Brady Kageyama got the game within 5 points with a minute left, but a few fouls as well as O’Dea’s perfect free throw shooting gave the Irish the win. O’Dea was also dominant on transition and on the boards throughout the entire game. The Wolverines now head to the 3rd place match of the district tournament where they’ll play a tough matchup against the Garfield Bulldogs.
