Regionals is a competition between the top teams from every district in the state and is the "door to the State Tournament." It is played in a variety of locations around Washington. 20 teams compete in Regionals with the top 12 advancing to State. The top 8 seeds in Regionals play a single game and are assured of a State berth. The bottom 12 teams play either one or two loser-out games, with the top 4 advancing to State.
