The Bellevue Wolverines finished their regular season on a high note by defeating the Liberty Patriots 68-53 en route to an undefeated KingCo record of 12-0. The player of the game was senior forward Alex Yu, who was dominating in the paint with his fancy layups and rebounding, while also limiting Liberty’s star player Ryan Gallagher’s production on defense. He was helped by senior guards Brady Kageyama, Orhun Dakad, and junior forward Kenyan Jackman-Thomas throughout the game, as they supported the team with efficient shooting and help defense. Senior Andrew Gooding also provided some much-needed energy for this unit on both sides of the ball. The Wolverines look to start the KingCo playoffs strong with this momentum as they play Lake Washington High School in the KingCo 3A semifinals on Monday night.
