The Bellevue Wolverines etched out a tough 54-43 win against the arch rival Mercer Island Islanders. Senior Alex Yu provided a spark with some great interior scoring, while seniors Brady Kageyama, Andrew Gooding, and junior Kenyan Jackman-Thomas were very effective on both ends of the court. Senior Blane Stauffer, who just recovered from a back injury, gave the team some great energy on the court, which translated to some key moments throughout the game that extended the lead for the Wolverines. The Wolverines have a week off before they head on to play against the Lake Washington Kangaroos next Tuesday.
