Romeo Wheeler
My Wife and I have been together for 16 years (High-School Sweethearts) and we our proud parents of 4 children: 3 Girls (14, 11 & 10) and 1 Boy (18 months). My family is a huge driver in keeping me motivated, passionate, and well grounded.
I have been Coaching and Training for a total of 11 years now between 3 different programs:
- Renton High School - 6 year Varsity Assistant
- Eastside Prep School - 2 years Head Coach
- LOCALHOOPS Training Academy - 9 years Head Coach, Trainer, Academy Director
Coaching Basketball developed and became my focus in 2012 following my first year of coaching. I discovered the power and impact that Basketball holds over the youth in our community and it can positively impact their confidence and life skills.
As an underrepresented youth with average confidence, I have committed to ensuring that all athletes that I coach understand their value and importance to the team as that is a major key to building their confidence. I focus on building confidence because it leads to learning life skills and establishing good habits such as Leadership, Problem Solving, Self Accountability and Positively Impacting a Team Environment.
I am looking forward to joining the Wolverine Boys Basketball Community.
I would also like to say Thank You for the opportunity on behalf of me and my family.
